3 Key Tips for Optimizing Your Landing Page Conversion Rate

I sift through hundreds of landing pages per week.

These are 3 recos I can't stop making:

  1. Sell the "Point A to Point B"
      
    Build an actual, explicit section to show your before to after.

→ Before: 10 checkmarks of what life is like w/out [your product]

→ After: 10 checkmarks showing what you get WITH [your product]

  1. Explain the who, what, where, when, and why

Your offer may be simple to you.

But your prospect hasn't spent 5 years building it like you have.

Break down the simplest parts:

→ Who: ideal person you get results for
→ What: method for getting them results
→ Where: where they are, where they want to go
→ When: length of time to get there
→ Why: benefits, value prop, etc

Write in your copy explicitly or subtly…

But make sure this info is clearly on your page.

  1. Don't make me think

Make it easy for your prospect to take the next step without extensive reading.

Structure headlines and content for quick skimming.

Make the "next step" laughably clear.

Experiment I like to run for this:

  1. Copy all your H1 and H2s into a doc
  2. Read them all in a row, one after another

If they make no sense together or don't tackle the who, what, where, when, why…

You're making your prospect think too much.

Those are just 3 recommendations that keep coming up. Easy way to boost your conversion rate (or very least your prospect's comprehension) by a good %
